How to Use
- Enter any U.S. airport ICAO or FAA identifier into the departure, arrival, or alternate fields.
- You can include or omit the "K" prefix —
KLAX and LAX both work.
- Supports Hawaii (e.g.,
PHNL), Alaska (e.g., PAFA), and Puerto Rico (e.g., TJSJ).
- Click "Get Weather Briefing" to fetch the latest data.
- Weather is automatically color-coded by flight category.
- Use the auto-refresh dropdown to keep data current during a flight watch.
Color Coding
- Green – VFR: Ceiling > 3,000 ft AGL and visibility > 5 miles
- Blue – MVFR: Ceiling 1,000–3,000 ft AGL and/or visibility 3–5 miles
- Red – IFR: Ceiling 500–1,000 ft AGL and/or visibility 1–3 miles
- Magenta – LIFR: Ceiling < 500 ft AGL and/or visibility < 1 mile
How do I add WxBriefPro to my phone's home screen?
On iOS (Safari): tap the Share button, then "Add to Home Screen."
On Android (Chrome): tap the three-dot menu, then "Add to Home Screen" or "Install app."
Once installed, it opens full-screen like a native app.
Is my data private?
Yes. We don't have accounts or logins. Airport codes you enter are only used to fetch weather data and are not stored. Recent airports are saved only in your browser's localStorage. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
